He's not your typical "book hero" and I love him because of that. One, I'm a huge fan of both the Mercy Thompson series and Alpha and Omega series, so I'm excited to read anything that has to do with them. Now, my children go out looking into vernal pools to find salamanders having their party. Not exactly what I was looking for Though did have some useful advice, it's really not a how to book. It begins with chapter by the editor, Peter Swirski, which summarizes Lem's career and provides a fascinating look at the writer's life as a writer. He was a jerk, according to my friend, because he confused sterile ritual with true spirituality. Thank you for this book.. From there you see them try to struggle with what the new norm should be. Be sure to notice the "extra characters" that are offered in some fonts.. It is not exhaustive like a textbook but the fact that each chapter is a seprate entity makes it interesting reading. People meet people in clubs and bars, we all know that. I won't go into any further details that might spoil the story but once again a very well written story mixing historical fact and real places with fantasy and other mythological artifacts to create a story that captivates.
