Definitely worth the price. The beauty of social history in America is that stories once deemed irrelevant or peripheral to what makes us, as Americans, tick have now begun to come to the fore. It is a good intro. I had read "The Kiss" a memoir also written by Kathryn Harrison and thought it was powerful so I thought this one would be equally as good--or better but no. If if does, I feel privileged in knowing that Mark (and so many of my other friends) will be there, if not on the barricades, at least in providing lunch!. It vignettes several artists from the heavily enriched San Francisco Bay Area. This book will do a lot to help people understand the conundrum of death penalty law and practice, and it will be effective in part because the author reports the situation as he saw it without proselytizing. Beautiful pictures! Very little text, like that. Despite their age difference, they are as attracted to each other physically as emotionally. Arrived in better condition than advertised.. This bookHarrison obsessed over her son's treatment, before turning to the one sure way she'd always known to control an unruly world: imposing starvation on herself. How dear, to have saved a last bottle of breast milk after weaning her last child-and yet, readers may wonder, what does that imply?
