Had I have know that the religious stance of the female character was such a huge portion of the book I never would have purchased it. They pull you in deeply enough (that causes you to forget the cares and concerns happening currently in your life,) that it's the perfect escape! Read this book! I promise that you wont be disappointed!. She has ripped some of the flaps accidentally and I have had to tape them back together. The book is well written, though it seems that some of the passages, especially at the chapter beginnings, are a bit too creative. Interesting characters are brought to life with eloquent writing and a delivery much better than I would have expected from an author reading her own story.She takes the vampire story and makes it her own by introducing her own lore, an interesting well thought out take on vampire physiology, and the reasons for their actions.This is a modern tale,
